Beijing - Xi'an - Dunhuang - Turpan - Urumqi - Shanghai 13 days

Itinerary Arrangement

Day 1

Arrive in Beijing, be greeted by the tour guide at the airport, and be transferred to the hotel for rest and jet lag adjustment.
Day 2

Morning: Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest city-center square in the world; and the Palace Museum to experience the grandeur and magnificence of the imperial palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties.Afternoon: Tour the Temple of Heaven.a masterpiece of Chinese architecture
Day 3

Morning: Travel to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience the pride of "One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a true hero" and enjoy the magnificent natural scenery and historical relics. Afternoon: Return to the urban area, explore the Hutongs, take a rickshaw to experience the daily life vibe of the old city residents, and stroll around Houhai.
Day 4

Take a flight or train to Xi'an, and start the one-day tour upon arrival. Morning: Visit the Museum of the Terracotta Army of Qin Shihuang, see one of the Eight Wonders of the World, and appreciate the military power of the Qin Empire.Afternoon: Return to the urban area, climb the Xi'an City Wall, and enjoy the scenery of the ancient city by cycling or walking.
Day 5

Take a flight or train to Dunhuang, and go to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring upon arrival. You can ride a camel, enjoy the unique landscape where desert and clear spring coexist, and watch the sunset.
Day 6

Morning: Visit the Mogao Grottoes to admire the thousand-year-old murals and Buddha statues and feel the charm of ancient Buddhist art.Afternoon: Free time to visit Dunhuang Museum and learn about Dunhuang's history and culture.
Day 7

Take a flight or train to Turpan, and check into the hotel for rest upon arrival. Afternoon: Go to Grape Valley to taste sweet grapes and learn about Turpan's grape cultivation culture.
Day 8

Morning: Visit the Karez Wells to appreciate the wisdom of ancient laborers and learn about this great water conservancy project.Afternoon: Tour the Jiaohe Ruins, one of the largest, oldest, and best-preserved earthen cities in the world.
Day 9

Travel from Turpan to Urumqi, and visit the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum upon arrival to learn about Xinjiang's history, culture, ethnic customs, and cultural relics.
Day 10

Morning: Go to Tianchi Lake in the Tianshan Mountains, an alpine lake at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains with clear water and surrounded by mountains, presenting a charming scenery. Afternoon: Return to the urban area and visit the International Grand Bazaar to experience the strong ethnic customs and buy special souvenirs.
Day 11

Take a flight to Shanghai, check into the hotel upon arrival. Afternoon: Tour the Bund and enjoy the Bund's International Architecture Exhibition Group and modern skyscrapers on both sides of the Huangpu River.
Day 12

Morning: Visit the Shanghai Museum to appreciate the profoundness of ancient Chinese culture. Afternoon: Go to Yu Garden, a classical garden in the Jiangnan style, to admire the exquisite architecture and garden scenery; later, taste Shanghai's local snacks such as xiaolongbao (steamed buns) and shengjianbao (pan-fried buns) at Chenghuang Temple（No entry into temples.）
Day 13

Head to the airport and end the pleasant journey.
